The successful candidate will be accountable for the sale of steel tubing products in the sales regions encompassing the Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky states. This individual will be responsible for increasing sales, improving profit margins, and improving the company’s market share in the territory.
The Plant Process Engineer reports to the Plant Manager with dotted line responsibility to the Continuous Improvement Group. The tasks and activities related to this position are:
Continuous Improvement activities:
Manage the CTY (Critical-to-Yield) process for each plant:
-Understand, define, & monitor the major sources of yield loss in the plant.
-Manage the plant’s process for achieving annual budget goals for achieving yield improvement.
-Identify and quantify the yield loss improvement areas.
-Work with the Continuous Improvement Group to define an appropriate process for improving yield. Projects may be Green Belt projects, Black Belt projects, or could be done by the Process Engineer.
-Utilize CI (Six Sigma) methods in the CTY process.
-Work with other Process Engineers in the Plant to improve yield across the value stream.
-Work as the resident Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement expert in the manufacturing plant.
-Assist in the plant in the use of Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methods for use in all process improvement areas.
Manages and leads the PTC Alliance EHS processes for the Alliance facility for continuous improvement of the environmental, health, and safety program within the plant. In addition, the role will require the individual to serve as a facilitator for required meetings and training sessions.
This position is responsible to direct and coordinate the activities of a team engaged in purchasing and distributing various items. This includes materials, equipment and supplies. He or she will work closely with all departments in the facility and should have knowledge of other organization functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Accounting, Human Resources, and Operations. This person will supervise the Production Planner/Analyst and Purchasing/Receiving Clerk. The position reports to the Plant Manager.
We are looking for a divisional leader to develop, implement and manage the procurement and supply chain strategy for the division. This role will be key in developing excellent relationships with vendors, PTC management and negotiating properly on behalf of the company. The individual in the position will be responsible for leading and executing the strategic materials and supplies for the business unit. This position will partner with other division’s procurement team for multi-product opportunities. Responsibilities may include developing and negotiating contracts, assisting with developing unit materials management strategies, and monitoring contract compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiating skills, exceptional communication, and demonstrated ability to perform in a highly collaborative work environment. This position will report to the Division President and will work very close with other operational functions.
The successful candidate will investigate and determine solutions to electrical problems. He or she will also coordinate testing, installation and maintenance of electrical components, equipment, and systems following accepted professional principles or established practices.
Candidates with Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification are preferred.
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will implement and facilitate continuous improvement activities within all North America Division facilities. Evaluates work processes to determine strategies and programs, which provide greater productivity and efficiency of company functions by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Persons applying for this position must have six or more years of industrial electrician experience and/or a journeyman’s card and the ability to read electrical drawings. Experience in trouble shooting AC and DC drives, personnel computers, wiring of control panels and AC Crane controls will be considered first. The successful candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment. Position requires a high school diploma, trade school certificate or GED. A technical degree or engineering degree is preferred. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment electrical test.
