PTC ALLIANCE CONTINUES TO INVEST IN SUPPORT OF
CHANGING CUSTOMER NEEDS
Pittsburgh, PA – (January 11, 2008) – Since acquiring
Pennsylvania Cold Drawn in February, 2006, PTC Alliance has invested
approximately $7 million to establish a dedicated components facility in Beaver
Falls, PA to serve the tubular component needs of the hydraulic cylinder
market.
The dedicated components
facility comprises a 100,000-square-foot additional building plus investment in
dedicated tube fabricating equipment. PTC Alliance plans to expand its workforce by 70 people to man the new
facility and continue its commitment to being the global premier mechanical tubing
provider.
PTC Alliance’s Beaver Falls
facility will have new equipment which, in addition to traditional tube
manufacturing, will include precision cutting, machining, flange welding and attachment
of other accessories, enabling tight specification components to be shipped to
customers ready for assembly.
“In 2006, this acquisition
expanded our product offering to our customers.
Additionally, opportunities exist to add further processing and product
capability in support of our customer’s needs.
We understand that what may have worked in the past may well need to
change and we are prepared to embrace that change in support of our customers
by making the appropriate investments in people and equipment” said Peter
Whiting, Chairman and CEO of PTCAlliance.
